I bought this as a gift that I prefilled with watercolors. It took 5 to 7 fills! I bought this in the middle of winter so the air is extremely dry so that may have made the wood thirsty. I just wasn’t expecting to have to use so much paint for such a small well!

Molto carina ma avrei preferito ci fossero già i colori

Giving just 4 stars because the plastic in the mixing area does not cover the wood entirely, so the watery paint runs down into the wood and is hard to get out. I'd rather the mixing area was sealed entirely. Otherwise, the palette is really nice, the water brush is good quality and doesn't leak, and the book is excellent, well bound, and has lovely thick watercolor paper.

Adorable little mini palette and watercolour book with excellent quality paper. I didn't expect the paper to be so nice in such a small book, but this is excellent! I needed to get some practice in painting small and neat, and this little set is wonderful for that. So much fun!

The white mixing pad area had fallen out and is not glued in. Very poor quality. The magnets are very weak.

This travel palette is truly MINIATURE! It’s really tiny, but I must admit I like it a lot. As an abstract mixed media artist, I like to have a variety of art supplies with me everywhere we go. This little set is perfect for throwing in my art bag and using on the go. Surprisingly, the amount of watercolor paint I put in this travel palette lasts much longer than I expected. Keep in mind, I typically only use this when traveling around town to doctor appointments, etc… I use a much larger palette at home and in the studio. If you work on small projects, I think you’ll like this little treasure! Oh, and the magnets that hold this palette work well; still I use a rubber band to secure mine (especially if I’ve used a water brush and the palette is still a little wet when I close it up).

This is absolutely adorable!! The paint that each section holds is TINY!The paper in the booklet is completely smooth so it is not just for watercolors but can also be painted with ink, etc.

It's tiny definitely on the travel side! the book is about post it note sized for reference. Quite a nice size to throw in a bag or your pocket and head out on adventures. The brush pen is really nice, it's compact but hold more than enough water for a few sketches. The watercolor book is really nice, paper is quite capable, and I was able to layer quite a bit without issue. It's about post it note sized and makes for some nice little paintings and sketches. The palette is really neat too the wells are pretty tiny for each color, but you can dab some liquid paint and let it dry over time. It's more than enough color to sketch from. The little mixing plate is nice too. The palette has magnets to keep it closed or open.

When I opened the package with the 8 Grid Miniature Watercolor Painting Palette Kit, I was absolutely thrilled. The little book of paper is about 3x3” and the paper is excellent, quite a nice weight. The palette was incredible. It is SO small! It holds together with magnets, whether closed or open and one half joined to the other. It is made of wood and is indestructible. There is a white insert to stick onto the larger well, helpful for mixing and properly seeing your colours. The water brush is like most, but I think it’s stronger, better quality. And the metal clip used to clip this little palette to your book while you work is also very strong. The funny thing is that I first saw this type of plein air kit just a few days ago while being used by an artist I saw on Facebook. I was intrigued, and then for it to show up as an item to review... I was very happy. This whole thing is delightful. I love it and highly recommend it.
