Handy standard coarse file for carving wax models for jewelry making. It has two cuts for coarser and finer filing. It’s pretty much a required tool for shaping wax. Good buy.

The pictures are hard to capture the sloppy work on creating these files but this file is nothing like others I have seen that were beautifully created. The medium/coarse grading seems very inconsistent and while this may work as a wax file I am looking for it to file wood and does not provide the consistency that I require. Bottom line is you get what you pay for and this was cheap. There are others out there for less money that are clearly the same level of quality. In my mind this is a dud. I will pay the $30 for a nice Swiss file!!! I am returning this

It's a file. However, I really needed the round side to be actually circular or at least consistent. It's more like a trapezoid. Not as "round" as a true half round should be. The roughness should be different in each end, but it's virtually the same.

At 8" and with two different coarseness's it is a handy file to take off a lot of material: in my case, plastic. The tapered points and small size make it easy to get in tight spots. A good addition to any workbench.
