Installation Tips
- Pop the upper grille lock pins so you can access the grille from behind. Then press, twist, and manipulate the grill and insert until each clip is fully engaged.
- For those new the Wranglers grille removal is easy and something to learn ASAP since it the only way to get to lights. 6 black 'buttons' along top of grille/radiator area.
- Use a small flat screwdriver to pop the center of these out. Then pull the remaining expanding, the outer part, of the expanding clip out.
- Tops is now free. Bottom is held by spring clips along the entire bottom. Start at one side and using two hands start pulling.
- This set of grille inserts won't directly fit any special editions like 75th anniversary that already have inserts. Also a few 2016/2017 models have inserts placed in the grill, but most wranglers have open 7 slot grill. You would have to remove prior to put these in.

If they did not fall out after inserting I would have given 5 stars. I knocked off the second start for having to purchase additional items to secure them in place.Worth noting that the material is premium grade automotive ABS plastic, and there is no drilling or special tools required, the fit will not be exact for every JK. I have a 2008 JKU and after inserting until each clip was fully engaged, they basically fell out. While they are a perfect fit from a size and shape perspective, there is not enough tension to hold the clips in place. If the ridges of the clip were just a couple millimeters bigger, this would solve the problem and these would never fall out. I ended up using 3M Super-Strength Molding Tape to secure these in place. For the price, I did not see the point in returning the inserts. If you find that yours fall out, you can purchase the tape from Amazon for about $10 or go directly to an auto parts store and pay $12-$15.

I have a white Jeep and i ordered the white ones. They came extremely bright, like printer paper white and it didn't match my car at all. Instead of returning I decided to try to spray paint them with a Home Depot white spray and the color completely matched my car. Sprayed them white then added a sealer coat and now its PERFECT. So if you don't like the color try spray paint. :)

This is a decent item for the price. You get what you pay for. It looks decent and has enhanced the look of my JKU. I removed a star because the installation didn’t go as smoothly as I planned. The grill inserts wouldn’t just click in place. I had to really maneuver them around to get them in there. Some of them still aren’t flush. I don’t think anyone else would notice, but I certainly do. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably seek out a version of this that’s slightly more expensive but better quality.

I really like the new look my grill transformed into. The shiny version goes perfect with my Jeep. Very easy to install but I think a little too easy. The inserts didn't snap in place which makes me feel like they are not too secure. I'm hoping they won't pop out... I tugged at them and they seem to be fixed but we'll see (shruggedshoulders).

I don't think I can really complain about these grill inserts. They are a good price, easy to install, and super cute. I had them white for about a year but obviously they started to change color from the dirt and sun damage. I decided to change the aesthetic of my car however and spray painted them pink. They held up beautifully and look brand new. Many different ways to use these grill inserts, but if you do keep them white, you may have to bleach them clean after a while. No bigge, everything fades/changes over time :)

Update: 3 years later one fell off. Reordered itI live in a very windy dusty place so maybe that made it fall. Either way I did not expect a simple little clip on product to last that long and I’m impressed enough to order again.Original:This is a simple modification you can do to your Jeep that’s cheap and easy. It actually makes a huge difference in the look. I’ve had mine on for years and have not had any issue with them popping out or fading.

(Edit from 06.23.2023: I just happened to come across this old review of mine. But it looks like the product linked to this review is NOT the product that I purchased. So beware. The below review is for some honeycomb plastic grill inserts that worked on my 2014 JKU.)Bottom Line: Would buy again. Would recommend to others if they like the look.Pro: Looks awesome; easy to install.Con: There are slight blemishes at the top right of each piece, if visually inspected within a few feet (don't see from further out); The color is closer to a very dark grey, than a true black, but I kind of expect that from all "black" items (matches stock black fenders well)Concern: The attachment is via 3M automotive tape, which just makes me a little nervous.Details: As with all 3M automotive tape installations, make sure you clean the target surface thoroughly. Recommend soap water first, dry, then clean again with rubbing alcohol, being careful to not damage any surfaces in the process. They install in a specific direction, so test first with tape on, then remove tape when you're ready. The honeycomb pattern looks very good in my opinion. Wish the attachment was more of a bolt on, or something, though not sure how that would work. Have seen some other items for sale that are metal and bolt/clamp on on the backside of the grill, making installation a little more complex, but probably less worry of it falling off on the highway.
