Use with a mr beer kit these bottles are what the doctor ordered. Work great and hold a beer batch from their fermenter barrel(2 gals.)

These bottles allow you to know when co2 builds up and so are safer than glass

I've made a couple batches of beer now using these bottles. While they work well, seal well, keep well, after the first use the bottom pushes out somewhat due to the carbonation pressure, and the bottoms become permanently rounded. Difficult to keep the bottle standing up without danger of it falling over after that first use.

Very easy to clean after brewing beer. Would buy more later.

Bottles have a good feeling to them, like they're thicker than a common soda bottle. I also like that they are a nice, dark amber-- good to protect beer from being damaged by too much light. I won't use the included caps, preferring to use the caps found on bottles of Walmart soda. They have a tapered ring inside that gets forced into the mouth of the bottle when it's completely tightened-down. They do not leak the carbonation if you go that far. All bottles in this order arrived in perfect condition. They look so good I'm considering buying two more boxes of sixteen each.

Just did my first bottling with these. They kept denting in and did not seem as thick as some of the PET bottles. Otherwise as expected.

Exactly as described and arrived quickly.Bought these to try with a Mr. Beer kit that I was given as a gift. I have never homebrewed before and really had no idea what I was doing. One of the upgrade suggestions I got for using these particular bottles is to avoid breaking the security band on the caps while santizing them before bottling the beer. It's easy to do and a real upgrade when sharing you beer with someone. People are so tuned into opening bottles like this and hearing/feeling the "snap" of the security band being broken that, when it's not present they inspect the bottle and have a questioning look before drinking it. It's a minor thing, but worth avoiding in order to improve the experience. Replacement caps are really inexpensive for future brews.Be aware that these bottles are 24oz (2 regular/typical sized beers). Also, the bottles are plastic. While I prefer glass, the plastic bottles offer the ability to perform a "squeeze test", a great way for new brewers to ensure good carbonation.I hope to advance to glass bottling in the future. Adding custom labels and filling diy wood caddies with my brews for gift giving. A fun new hobby for me.These totally reuseable plastic bottles should work well for learning the craft better, before I move forward.

I think if you are serious about getting into making beer, there are probably better options out there for you. My experience with Mr. Beer products has been mixed. The quality of the plastic kegs and the bottles isn't always the best, but then again--it is plastic, so I guess I shouldn't have expected too much. I will say that Mr. Beer customer service cannot be beat, and if you do have any issues with the quality of their products, they are quick to help out. I had some bottles arrive crushed and they were quick to send replacements. I've managed to make three different beers that turned out okay, but to be honest, they were nothing better than an average beer. Given some of the glowing reviews of beers people have made with their Mr. Beer kits, I had higher expectations. Perhaps the fault is my own, but I did follow the directions to the letter, including implementing additional tips that were emailed to me from Mr. Beer.Overall, I think the Mr. Beer products are perfect for folks like me who just want to dabble in beer making for fun. I think if I were to ever consider getting serious about producing a better quality product, I'd certainly have to invest in better equipment. But just for a fun little project--and to get to say you made your own beer--the Mr. Beer products are good.

These PET bottles from Mr. Beer are the bomb, or should I say won't create a bottle bomb like a standard over carbonated glass bottle. If over carbed, they just swell up more. In fact, that's only one reason I prefer these economical bottles for some brews. The other reason goes hand in hand, literally. As your carbonation builds, these bottles slowly become harder so you know when your beverage is ready to go. The Amber color keeps light at bay, so you're less likely to have skunked beer. And they're completely reusable! Worried about longevity? Don't. People have reported keeping beers stored in them for a year's time and still having carbonation. They may not look as classy but if you're like me and enjoy pouring your beer into a frosty pint glass anyway, this is no bother. Much safer to transport as well.

I thought these were the larger ones, like the size that came with our kit initially, and was disappointed at first, until I tested the volume capacity of these sleek little babies. Wow. They are able to hold 3&1/3rd cups of fluid, or about 28 ounces, leaving a 1 1/2 inch head space. So, not only do you get a good portion size, but these are shorter and will fit in the fridge without having to move the shelves about or lay them on their side like the bigger ones. Our next batch is not quite done fermenting, but I will update if they do not excel like all the other products we have purchased from Mr. Beer. We were a bit skeptical at first because how good can a little plastic 'keg' and some liquid mix be?, but we are really pleased with the outstanding results, flavor and value of their products.1 caveat, to be honest, I have NEVER used their corn sugar solids as alcohol and body booster, with all the GMO corn in the US, I just wont subject our family to that, so instead we used 2 1/2 cups of natural blonde sugar, and we do use their yeast, but add 1/2 a package of Red Star premium champagne yeast so that we get a higher abv% and the champagne yeast has a higher tolerance to alcohol and doesn't die like brewers yeast tends to. It also does not have any aftertaste.
