When it came to assembly, every labeled piece was labeled wrong. This lead to putting multiple pieces together wrong and having to start over. Best advice is to just pay close attention to the pictures and ignore the labels, it will be easier this way. That being said, once I realized it was an issue with the instructions and labels, assembly went quite smooth. Two hex wrenches are included, but they both became warped before assembly was finished, so it is recommended you have your own tools to complete assembly. Once assembled, this is quite sturdy and solid, but since it is just screwed together, I went back and applied a small amount of threadlocker to each screw to ensure nothing would vibrate loose over time. This does mount and secure nicely to the cross bars, and you're more than able to swap out the nut and bolt provided for higher quality hardware, I added a lock washer to each part for the roof mounting process to ensure a stronger hold. This does hold a decent amount of cargo and frees up space inside your vehicle. For the listed price, this is about as reasonable a product as one could expect. I highly suggest using threadlocker for a guaranteed hold. This is a solid 4 star product that works well for its price range.

Ok so let me start with I don’t often leave reviews for products however I think it’s important information that you may want to have. The 8” deep unit has good spacing for mounting the Harbor Freight rifle boxes. I had two other roof racks that would’ve never allowed for all four latches to function properly. Fits perfectly side to side and I have two rifle boxes mounted on my 3rd gen 4 Runner

Decent quality for the price does the job, wish it would have included shims for narrower rack bars like the Toyota Highlander has also with it would have included shorter bolts to mount to rack as I had to purchase stainless steel bolts that were an inch long versus the 2 inch long ones that are included that would have damaged my roof of the vehicle. So sometime back I got myself a roof rack for my SUV and I realized I wanted to get one for my husband too so as soon as I saw this I had to have it! I was sure to go over all the measurements ahead of time on both his SUV and this product and make sure that it would be compatible and after doing that then I ordered it. It came very well packed and secured with all the correct pieces and hardware. The instructions were pretty clear and easy to understand so me and my husband were able to get this fully assembled in no time. It was also very easy to get mounted to his suv. Once everything is mounted and installed it's very heavy duty and sturdy. It stays perfectly in place and you can easily strap your luggage down to it. We are always visiting family out of town and it's just great to have these roof racks on our car so we can carry extra luggage! This is definitely very well coated and well made so it's definitely very rust-resistant! It functions perfectly as intended and we actually used it this past weekend to visit my mother! It held perfectly and it was super nice even on the highway. Very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship! This is definitely a solid 10 out of 10 great bang for your buck!

The size of the luggage rack is very spacious, and there is enough space to put down large suitcases, camping equipment and even some sundries. Its basket-style design has a raised edge, which can effectively prevent items from sliding, especially in bad road conditions. This design allows me to not worry about the luggage moving around even if it is full of things. The luggage rack is made of heavy-duty steel, and the overall structure is very strong and durable, giving people a very reliable feeling. The surface has been treated with an anti-rust coating, which is especially important for long-term outdoor use, especially in places that often experience rain and snow. This anti-rust design is really very practical. There was not much trouble during installation. The brackets and accessories are very complete, and it is very convenient to dock with the crossbar of the SUV. The whole process took less than an hour to complete. In actual use, I especially like its stability. When driving at high speed or encountering bumpy roads, the luggage rack is very stable, without looseness or excessive wind noise, which makes me feel very relieved. Its load-bearing capacity is also very good, and heavy luggage can be easily handled. In actual testing, there is no pressure to load several suitcases and camping tools.
