I've been trying to find a good, solid easy to use mp3/mp4 player for several years to replace my last iPod and have bought 3 or 4 prior to this but one by one each failed miserably being far short of acceptable. Usually it's the GUI typically with no shortcut to get back to the home screen after you've wandered in the menu, not showing full titles of songs due to low-res graphics so you have to guess which version you're playing from the list (and many times even when you do play it you still can't tell) among many other shortcomings. For those reasons I was reticent to buy another but decided to pull the trigger one more time and FINALLY I found this little Timmkoo player gem which covers all the bases. Quick response, great graphics, easy to use menus (probably due to it being an Android-based system), built-in speaker and to boot the sound quality is great AND YOU CAN ACTUALLY READ MOST OF THE SONG TITLES! Even the earphones they give you are fantastic! The only shortcoming is only 8GB internal memory but they give you a 64GB card which is more than sufficient to load all the music, pictures, videos, e-books and anything else digital you might want to take with you which more than makes up for that. IF YOU WANT A GREAT MP3, PICTURE, VIDEO, E-BOOK PLAYER WITH BUILT IN RADIO TO BOOT (THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY READ) BUY THIS MACHINE, YOU'LL LOVE IT LIKE I DO. IT'S THE FIRST ONE THAT RIVALS THE APPLE iPOD IN QUALITY AND AT $41 IT WON'T BREAK THE BANK!

The more I use this MP3 player, the more I love it. I'm reviewing the Timmkoo Q5.Pros:- Awesome audio quality and bass depth. It has an equalizer as well as other audio plugins to enhance the sound. I've purchased, tried and returned a few other cheap brands because their sound quality was bad. This device is however, for its price, generates amazing sound. The included earbuds are not bad, but the sound is even better with Apple earbuds (those that are bundled with iPhones) or any other quality headphones.- The built-in memory is only 8GB, which is plenty to run the OS and apps, and to store the cache, so a microSD card is highly recommended to put the music/video files on it. I bought a 128GB and it works just fine.- The Q5 is based on Android, has a few apps, FM radio and Google Chrome browser. Note that the other Q3E model is virtually the same, but doesn't have WiFi, FM radio or browser. For $5 more, get this Q5.- It can handle many file formats, including .m3u8 playlists and .cue files; those are not listed in the Amazon description, but the music app supports them, which is a bonus.- The size is adequate, not too big, not too small, fits in the hand, it has a decent solid weight and doesn't feel cheap.- Playing videos is excellent, with the option to play video horizontally (by default) or flip vertically.- When plugging into the PC, there are several USB modes that can be selected (e.g. MTP, USB storage, and a few others).- Although the screen is medium sized, it's crystal clear and sharp.- Once the music is playing, I can manually turn off/lock the screen by pressing the power button. In this state, the volume can still be changed without waking up the screen. To turn back on, press the power button again.Cons:- Inserting the microSD card was a bit tricky, I had to press it firmly with my finger nail to make it "click" into position, otherwise it was bouncing back and forth when using my finger. So use your nail.- The screen gets greasy pretty fast, I got my fingerprints all over it, so gently wipe it with a cotton cloth when not in use to keep it clean.- Sometimes tapping the buttons doesn't register immediately, I have to press a few times to make things happen; this is the case when playing music while doing other stuff. Perhaps the processor is struggling or the screen was too dirty with fingerprints?- Web browsing isn't snappy, but that's not a big issue for me, I bought this device to play music, not browse. But it's good to have the WiFi option, it allows uploading files through a web browser from another PC on the same network. It's not really necessary to do so, as I copy the files directly through the USB connection.Overall, the Q5 packs a ton of features and highly customizable options, has great sound quality and is easy to use. For $70, it's worth every penny for what it offers. I recommend this product.

Bought the TIMMKOO WiFi MP3 player for my car. Made use of the Bluetooth, and I was able to make some good use of it. Overall, it functioned pretty well.My primary issue with the device is it can NOT take every day use without it degrading in function. I've moved this MP3 player between my car and my backpack. It took some scratches, but was still functional. I shut down/power on again with no problems for a few weeks. However, when I would have it play MP3 for any longer than its battery life can withstand, that's when issues started occurring. After leaving it on until it shut down, I recharged the battery and tried to turn it back on again. The TIMMKOO logo would appear, flicker, and re-appear again as if it's starting on. It does this several times, and I had to do several hard shut downs on the device before it started acting OK again.It did this several times and always happened when I left the MP3 player on where its battery died. The last time it did this was when I couldn't get it to properly power back on again.If you want to listen to music for long hours into the night or just happen to forget to charge every now and then, I would not recommend this product. I dug up an older model MP3 player from Coby that's over 15 years old (uses a mini-usb type B cable to charge, if that gives you an idea of its age) and it still runs better than 3 weeks of using this device.
