Does not really work for full extension because the upper (thinner) part of the pole is super flimsy. The pole needs to be twice as thick and sturdy to be of real use. At full extension the pole starts wobbling. The blade is thin and sharp initially...but when you really put some muscle into cutting....the blade will almost bend. When the blade is cutting and gets pinched.....its really hard to get out...because its thinness has very little strength to it. It is NOT like a fiskars blade.....that is very strong. It is about 1/3 the thickness / strength of a fiskars blade. Also the top one or two pole extensions are so thin......the pole connections / clamps all fell apart. This type of pole extension needs to be engineered to be 3-3 times as strong as it is now. Now I have a pile of pole parts as the plastic sleves where the clamp compresses one pole to the next exploded and fell apart. My last cut....I had to retrieve the upper pole section as it was stuck in the tree branch I was trying to cut.

I bought it for tall palm trimming. At full length, it flexes a bit too much so I ended up retracting the last segment and going up on the ladder. I appreciate the light weight but I would prefer heavier one with less flexing. It's tough work, but it gets done with some patience so I am going to keep it.On edit :Downgrading one star. at full extension it is useless for anything. It really has to be made out of a much thicker material. Anything above half length is just good enough for cutting green palm fronds or fruit pods ,( which is fortunately the main reason I got it, otherwise I would downgrade it further), any sawing of wood is out of question. All these 5 star ratings really bother me. I cannot imagine anyone who extended it to full length would give it 5 stars.

Like the weight and length of the manual pole saw. With the lightweight the pole flexes but that is to be expected. Let the weight and length of the saw do the work other than moving the pole up and down. Used the 30 ft. length to trim dead branches from 2" - 4 1/2" to 5 1/2" thick. Locks do slide a little when the saw gets slightly stuck, but just eased up on the pole and it worked itself out.Good buy - well worth it.

I've only used it once to trim my Coconut Tree and the blade was excellent! The telescoping pole is the best I've ever had and I've been using similar pole saws for over 60 years and this is by far the best ever!

This saw cuts pretty well and is much safer than getting up on a ladder to cut the branches. It is very sturdy and very tough and will last years! I am impressed with it and I have a very tall and wide tree so this is perfect for trimming it out. I have cut up to a 6 inch diameter branch with no problems.

Given a balance between weight (a heavier pole would be very difficult to control) and function - this works very nicely. It enabled me to trim some branches that would have otherwise required a professional arborist and much higher cost. When I had a minor problem with the saw (one of the plastic tabs on the threaded base snapped off) the company was very responsive and replaced it quickly. Kudos!

This is the third tree saw extension pole that I have bought and it is the best. The pole is very well made. The saw is very sharp and cuts fast. When extended fully the pole holds its straight very well. It is lightweight enough that it is manageable. I have another extension pole but it bounced around in the air because it wasn't sturdy. The other pole I once bought was sturdy but too heavy for me to be able to use. This extend-a-reach pole is excellent. I would strongly recommend it.

I am very pleased with the performance of the saw. With this saw and a Little Giant ladder I was able to safely complete a job of trimming trees that local arborists wanted $8,000 to do. I bought an extra blade, but so far I haven't needed it. The blade it came with is very sharp and remains sharp after 40 hours of very heavy use. I had used only 12' and 14' pole saws previously. It takes getting accustomed to the extra length. Though the saw is very light weight when held vertically, it obviously becomes unwieldly if held out horizontally. I had to get the saw blade in place holding the saw as close to vertically as possible, and then position myself to not be under any falling limbs. When fully extended, the saw does flex considerably, but I was able to use that to my benefit by creating a rhythm with the saw strokes. pushing down slightly every time I pulled the saw toward me.
