Installed this once we finished our remodel and it does not work. The pump does not kick on and it doesn’t grind anything up.. so it’s backing everything up into the toilet AND shower... Please buy something different.

Alright, so I took the plunge and installed this NOVORIK 400W macerator pump in my basement. I'm no plumber, mind you, but I'm handy enough to tackle most DIY projects. The Good:Powerful Performance: For a 400W unit, it's surprisingly robust. It chews through waste effectively, and I haven't experienced any clogs so far. That's a huge relief, especially considering I'm using it for a toilet, sink, and shower in my basement.Relatively Quiet: Macerators are never silent, but this one is reasonably quiet. It's not going to win any soundproofing awards, but it's not annoyingly loud either.Compact Design: It fits neatly behind my toilet without taking up too much space. That was a key concern for me, as basement space is always at a premium.Versatility: The fact that it handles multiple fixtures is a major plus. It saved me from having to install separate pumps for each. The Not-So-Good:Installation Instructions: This is where NOVORIK dropped the ball. The instructions were vague and poorly translated. As a first-time installer, I had to rely heavily on online videos and forums, which added unnecessary frustration and time to the project. They really need to improve the clarity of their documentation.Connections: Some of the connection points felt a bit flimsy. I was extra careful tightening everything to avoid leaks, but I'm not entirely confident in their long-term durability.Vibration: There's a noticeable vibration when the pump runs. I've tried to minimize it by ensuring it's securely mounted, but it's still present. It might be worth investing in some vibration dampening pads.Initial Start-Up: The initial start up had me slightly nervous. It seemed to take a few cycles to get the hang of things. The NOVORIK 400W macerator pump is a solid piece of equipment that performs its core function well. However, the poor installation instructions and some minor design flaws detract from the overall experience. If you're an experienced DIYer or plumber, you'll likely have no problem installing it. But for first-timers like me, be prepared for a bit of a learning curve. Once installed correctly, it does what it's supposed to do, and that's the most important thing. I'd recommend it with the caveat that you'll need to do your research and be prepared to troubleshoot.

The pump system comes with clear instructions and all the necessary components for installation. It took me less than a day to install it in my basement. The 400W motor is quite powerful and can easily pump wastewater from the toilet, sink, shower, and bathtub. It has been working efficiently without any issues. One of the best features of this pump system is its quiet operation. It's so quiet that you can hardly hear it running, which is great for a basement setting. The pump system can be used for various applications such as toilet, sink, shower, and bathtub, making it a versatile addition to any home. The 400W motor consumes a significant amount of power, which could be a concern for some users. However, considering the powerful performance, the power consumption is justified. The pump system is quite expensive compared to other similar products in the market. But again, the powerful performance and reliable operation make it a worthwhile investment. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Pump for Basement Upflush Toilet Pump System, Macerator Sewerage Sump Pump Upflush System Kitchen, Sink, Shower, Bathtub (400W). It has been working efficiently and quietly, making it a great addition to my basement. If you're looking for a powerful and versatile pump system for your home, I highly recommend this product.

We live in a 100 year old house in upper northeast New England. And when this house was built there was only one-half bath in the entire house. Thankfully over the years there has been a full bath remodeled into the second floor. Since we purchased this house, we have been wanting to expand into the basement. These old houses do not have very tall basements. Our height is only 6 feet, and that is not tall enough to legally install a basement bathroom. However, we are lowering our basement floor down by 24 inches and pouring concrete. This will allow us to have a basement bathroom. However, our plumbing is all above the original basement floor. That is where this Macerator pump from Novorik come into play. By permit we will have to build a “sump pump” style recess into our floor and have a licensed plumber install this macerator pump. Our code here is minimum 18 inch wide by 24 inch deep. But we are going to have ours 24 inches x 24 inches because we need to have room for all of the plumbingThe about this item states: “NOVORIK 400W macerator pump, boasting a pure copper motor, efficiently transports wastewater at 27 gpm, reaching heights of 23 feet vertically”. Thankfully our lift is only going to be 6 feet vertically from the bottom of our “well” and 25 feet horizontally. Which make this pump absolutely perfect for our situation. This pump will also be pumping our sink drain water as well. We handed this to our plumber, and he told us this will not only fit in our “well” but will have more than enough power to remove any and all waste effectively. We are still in the process of getting all of our basement prepped and ready for the bathroom install and I will absolutely update this post with install pictures (both electrical connections and plumbing connections) and give any issues noise levels.
