These are heavy duty plates and I used them to mount a 5" vise to a plywood base. They aligned with the mounting holes on the vise without having to drill or file the existing holes. The only thing I don't like is the price. They are expensive for small steel plates IMO.

This is a set of four pieces of high quality A36 steel. Each piece is 6"x6" square by 6mm thick. Each square has a 1/2" through bored hole in each corner. All edges are slightly chamfered for no sharp edges. The squares are ideal for welding or bolting reinforcements. The premium grade steel is plasma cut and deburred with a light anti-corrosion pre-lubricated finish.Would recommend these to anyone.

There is not much to say about this piece of steel. It is the shape as advertised. Size might be slightly smaller.It is nice and heavy/thick. It is weldable. A bit of cleaning and sanding may be involve before welding, but otherwise it fit my needs.

These baseplates are manufactured precisely and accurately. The metal is clean and all edges have been deburred nicely. Welding on these plates is easy. Great for many projects around the shop or home. For the price you can't go wrong with these as they will save you a lot of time versus having to make them yourself.

These are some nice 1/4" steel plates, great for fashioning mounting bases for tools, construction use, or a hundred other applications. But they are not 6" x 6" as the advertisement states: The actual LxW dimensions, to the nearest mm, are 149 x 149mm, i.e. 149/2.54 = 5.866", which is slightly less than 5-7/8", fully 1/8" smaller than the ad states.See photos for LxW measurements made with a precision steel rule.The thickness is 0.24", close enough to 1/4" that it's unlikely to be an issue for most users. The ad does (in one place, near the top) give the thickness as 0.24", but elsewhere it is shown as 1/4", i.e. 0.25".I wouldn't object to these dimensional errors if the seller didn't go to such great lengths to tell buyers how wonderfully precise their machining process and quality control is. Here are some excerpts verbatim from their ad: "Specifications: 4 Pack of 6x6” Inches (152.4x152.4mm), 1/4" (6mm) Thickness, 9/16" Hole, 2 lb 4oz (1021g) Weight, A36 Carbon Steel, Laser Cut, Sandblasted, Lubricated." These are very nice steel plates. They are extremely well finished and have no burrs or sharp edges. They appear to be laser cut with even the corners slightly rounded. They are packaged with a light coating of oil so that they won't rust in the package but other than wiping that off they are 100% ready to use. I think they will be perfect for the project I have in mind. I would absolutely order them again if I needed more. I have included pictures so you can check the quality for yourself.
