Way too big looks obstructive with 5, 6, or 7mm glass. Use with large thick glass/acrylic

I had an odd size aquarium where I had to cut my own glass lid. These clips came in handy in supporting the lid over the top of the aquarium. I had no issues and can fully recommend this product.

The design was promising but didn't work when put into action. The inner lip stops the clamp from dropping securely into place. The acrylic is too stiff to stretch even a fraction. I am disappointed but will continue to seek a solution.

These aquarium lid clips are exactly what I needed! They securely hold the top cover of my fish tank in place, whether it's rimless or has a rim. The clips are easy to install and keep the lid from sliding around, giving me peace of mind that my fish are safe. They’re sturdy, fit well, and are a great value for anyone looking to keep their aquarium lid secure.

These tank clips came adequately packaged and arrived intact. The gripped cap screws threaded easily into the clips and the end covers/bumpers fit snug onto the screw ends. The clips fit securely on my small rimless tank and can accommodate a rim thickness up to 13/16". Use caution not to overtighten the screws as it could break the clips. I tightened mine until I noticed a very slight flex and this seems fine. For the lid fitment: The clips can hold up to a ¼" thick lid. The glass I'm using as my lid fits loosely on the bottom lip of the clips without a way to clamp the lid itself in place. This is fine for my purpose but some clear stick on rubbery type feet or pad might be a good addition to prevent slipping and to fill the gap if using a thinner material (One might even consider swapping the screw tightened side of the clamp to the lid and setting the other end of the clamp on the rim of your tank, if it fits). Also for the lids width and depth you'll need to account for the ⅛" thickness of the part of the clip that sits inside the tank. When you have them across from eachother plan for ¼" total length to subtract from the lid sides in reference to your tanks width and depth. This ensures the lid fits and without too much wiggle room. I did try a clamp on a rimmed tank just to see if it would fit and it did, but for me, only without the screw end cover on. In that application it was less stable, but it might still work ok though. Overall they seem like a good adjustable clear clip option (except if you're going for a super clean look) so long as you're ok with a more utilitarian aesthetic.

I returned these. They were too wide to use on my guppy bowl, and not needed for my large tank.

My cats love to drive me nuts and try to drink the tank water. It would be so bad for them if they did. The tank I have is a custom top so these are great to use since I have to work around the size. They work well and since they are clear they don't look gaudy.

Got these for a replacement for a global tank and they work great. I only needed 4 but it’s good to have a few extra
