I recently learned that there are two different connection sizes at the end of a flame sensor: 1/4 inch and 3/16 inch. It turned out I needed the sensors with the smaller 3/16 size plug. I ordered several flame sensors on Amazon to find out which had 3/16 plugs because Amazon product pages don't specify this. This flame sensor has the smaller 3/16 plug. It looks to be well made and is without any defect. At $9.99, this is less expensive than other sensors. It works great too, so I think this is a great value.

Dislike that it has to be cleaned often, like every 4 weeks. I made a modification that fixed the problem. Ducaine needs to redesign it or make an adjustment in the furnace for dirtyness.

I have bought this item 4 times. It usually makes it thru most of the winter without having to replace or clean it. The most recent one didn't last 2 weeks before it failed.

With forecasts calling for 2 or more weeks of below zero temperatures i had a furnace check up and the guy said i needed the flame sensor replaced as it was barely reading the flame and quoted me $275.00 to replace it !!!!!!So he gave me the quote with already having completed the most time consuming part of the work ie he had the front panel of the furnace off. So breaking the $275 down we have say $20 for the part and $255 labor. Time required to replace 5 minutes. Hourly cost 60/5=12x 255= Roughly $3,000.00 so ok i know he had to drive over bla bla bla. Still a true rip off that and a capacitor for the blower another ripp off. Thank God for you tubeI replaced it in under 5 minutes and its working well

You save $100 or more to order this part from Amazon and replace it yourself rather than having a technician from a heating company come out and do it. Also about one-third the price of a name brand part. Works great. Highly recommend.

Part was true to its description with no scratches or scuffs. I will definitely be buying more in the future. Good price comparatively too!
