easy to replace, draining spa down to a level I could disconnect the old and install this one, quick replacement, refill. Bringing new water up to temp was the longest part of this job.

This was perfect. Worth the few extra dollars over the knock-offs. OEM products are the best. Easy to install worked right away.

I bought this off my Amazon "order again" list. It had been seven years since the one I had bought previously. That first one got the jacuzzi that came with the house I bought working again. It ran continuously for those seven years as I enjoy the jacuzzi year round. This flow switch is in the filter/heater pump circuit. It's purpose in my system is to prevent the heater from turning on and possibly burning up and catching fire if no water is flowing through it. I know the switch physically actuated at least 4 times per day just on my jacuzzi filter maintenance settings, and then who knows how many more times per day as the temperature control turned the heater pump on automatically. So seven years of problem free operation seems a fair deal to me, and I had no hesitation in buying another as a replacement.

There is a video on YouTube that helped me decide to buy this flow switch and repair it myself. I did everything as indicated however, I could not get the hoses of the flow switch... so instead of changing the housing, I just replaced the screwed in part (the little stem, flopper and wire part). Unlikely something is wrong with the housing of the valve anyway...that made the repair much easier. Make sure to use some teflon tape while screwing in the new switch, my first go around I didn't use enough and it was leaking a little. The below comment about the little connectors being delicate is very true, and my tiny connectors didn't fit into the plug.... so I just cut the wires and reconnected the old plug+ connectors to the new wire. A shame I can't upload fotos but I hope this explains. All in all a couple of hours of work that made my hottub work again!

My tub's flow switch was all corroded and would not make contact. I had already clamped down the water hoses on both sides of the existing switch and unscrewed the switch itself and cleaned it. But it still would not reliably make contact, so I purchased this replacement switch.I had planned to replace the switch and housing using everything that comes with this item, but due to the age of the hoses in my tub and their rigidity, I was worried about cracking one of them. I decided to just unscrew the switch itself from the housing, and it was an exact match for the old switch and thread. It screwed right in and immediately worked perfectly. This was about 6 months ago now, and no issues so far.
