I needed a smaller sized powered subwoofer for my AV surround sound system and this subwoofer sounds great and fit perfectly in my TV cabinet. Great purchase! Very happy!

I would not use this for audiophile system but it delivers basic bass response for your workout space or other special purpose setup.I use it to provide the low frequencies noise paired with some budget small bookshelf speakers on stands in my basement workout area. Serves this purpose.

This Phasetech 6.5" passive sub is sold in other markets as an RCA, so they share the same comanufacturer and change the label. The box is MDF and built for a sub of this power range, the outside diameter of the cicrle in the box where the sub sits is about 6 3/4". The screw holes are about 6 1/4" across the speaker diameter. The subwoofer component is "SH14516210". It is advertised as an 8 ohm speaker, but in other markets the exact speaker is a 4 ohm 80 watt. The speaker has paper, not plastic, and looks like an old design. Very simple. Bass is decent and hits down to 50 hz. It has a little punch with the right amp but the sound is not high quality (obviously at this price point). I'll be upgrading the sub to a better quality 6.5" sub soon. Manage your expectations and this little box can hit alright for a room or small house.

I would describe this as good cheap sub. It's a decent deal, just manage your expectations.Update: It must have needed a break-in period or something, because it's hitting very nicely right now. Bumped to 4 stars.
