This is a solidly built clock, it is hefty due to the thick glass and full metal body. The built quality is really good, like close to what you would expect from an Apple product.Regardless of what the brand was listed here, IPSTUBE is the manufacture of this clock and they are based in China. The name IPSTUBE is a funny one, I think they originally started with a product that can replicate the look of a nixie tube clock with IPS panels inside of glass tubes. I own multiple nixie tube clocks and I think the manufacture did come up with a cleaver way to make a retro looking clock with a newer technology. Of course, it's not going to fool anyone who is familiar with a real nixie tube clock but it does come close when the viewer is directly in front of the clock. With IPS display, there is also no need to worry about cathode poisoning which is a common issue with nixie tubes. Now, this particular clock, despite the nice built quality and innovation, could use some improvements.1. There is no ambient light sensor for the screen to automatically adjust its brightness. This maybe ok if you plan to only use the clock at your office desk but it won't be a good clock for your nightstand. The backlit panel would be too bright in the dark unless you want to go through the trouble to adjust it on your phone every time before you go to bed.2. The controller app, called "IPSTUBE" could use some further development to give the clock more customization options. For example, I would like to use different font for the clock display but that's not possible right now, I can also change the color of the clock display but not the temperature display.3. Speaking of the temperature display. I wish this clock has an ambient temperature sensor. I would like to know the temperature in my room more than what's outside. The displayed temperature is just what the clock received from the wifi/internet for your location, assuming you can set it correctly in the app.Overall, it has good potential to be a great product but further work is needed. I'm looking forward to the next version of this clock
