Classic V-belts are made out of rubber or a polymer and have fibers from other materials added for reinforcement. Classic polymer or rubber V-belts have a high resistance to temperature but more of a limited resistance to oil. The manufacturing process combines a rubber compound with a polyester cord to increase strength and stability.
The factory OEM belt that fit your machine the day it came off the production line, may not be exactly the same fit years later after hundreds of hours of use. That is why many OEM's incorporate adjustment mechanisms on the pulley system.
- Pulley adjustments range from idler pulleys where you can adjust the hex nuts to specific brackets that are adjustable.

This belt fit perfect for the Hustler Raptor 52" mower. I ordered on June 27th arrived the 28th and was installed. It lasted until August 9th. I will say this mower is used a lot so maybe if you do not mow very much at a time or if you just want a cheap spare to keep for emergency then this would work fine. For the money it was fine, was just hoping to get more life out of it.
