product was perfect for the job just a little feathering then welded right into place -- UPS shipping was a big problem -- but finally got product -- it was in my town just five miles away for three days -- UPS in our town sucks -- hope my next order can be delivered by different shipping company seller has great products but does not listen to customer about problems with ""UPS " the shipping company -- yea ordered another product from them and they still sent my new order through "" UPS " so customer service sucks at the online metals :: for lack of online metals listening to customer needs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!'u

Was looking for a piece of aluminum plate about this size to machine a welding fixture plate out of.I was incredibly surprised to see the price of this 1" thick plate for $35 and had to buy it, although I was a little unsure if I was going to receive what was described because of what a good price this was.Sure enough a piece of 1" thick x 12"x12" piece of 6061 aluminum plate showed up at my door 2 days later. Very happy with this and if more return into stock at a similar price I plan on buying more.

Item is not 1/8 inch thickness. Outer clear plastic wrap says 1/8, but the sheet is closer to 1/32 inch. I reordered and got the same thing.

just what i needed nice and ridged good strength to it , was able to build what i needed with no problems at all !!!!I would highly recommend this for anyone who needs nice strong aluminum to build stuff !

Sheet arrived in perfect, undamaged packaging but was heavily scratched and gouged. ( These were deep, non-cosmetic gouges which would negatively impact it's use if you require a flat surface ). Excellent quality material and dimensions.

I've been very pleased with all the sheet I've bought from small parts. They are reasonably priced compared to other online metal suppliers and no cutting fee or long wait for a small sheet at the local metal supplier

The aluminum is a quality material. It is strong and light, just as you would expect a sheet of aluminum would be.I initially bought this sheet of aluminum to be used in a Playstation 3 mod project that I embarked on.I was replacing the stock heatsink and fan setup and utilizing standard PC CPU heatsinks. The issue with it was that I needed a way to attach the heatsinks to the motherboard (since it is a proprietary board layout) and also that the CPU and GPU were different heights even though they were right next to each other.I bought this sheet of aluminum to cut mounting plates that would attach to the PC heatsinks, and also to the motherboard. This meant that it had to be strong enough to hold, but also conductive enough to transfer heat through to the main heatsink. This sheet met my standards perfectly.My only complaint would be that the sheet had black printing across it, indicating the product type. It makes sense, but seeing as I needed the aluminum bare and couldn't sand the surface (or it would defeat my purposes). It wasn't really an issue because there was plenty of area to cut out that was not printed, but it was not something I expected.
