The tabs on these wire buts allow you to make a tight connection. Have used them on solid core and stranded wire. I have used them on up to 4 x 12ga stranded wire with no issues.The quality is good, have not had any problems with them breaking or stripping out the threaded part of the connector.

There's a tremendous number of wire nuts in this package. It's a great value pack. On the package, they indicate some of the specs for them such as size, operating temperatures, wire gauge range, et cetera. The only thing missing that I think would have been useful is that it sometimes labels have wire combination tables that the nuts are appropriate for. They have things like combinations of wire count, gauges, whether it's stranded or solid, et cetera. But that's not a major issue for these. It has wings so that it helps with tightening and it grabs wire as well as any others that I've used. Even better, at least these are UL listed so you can have that extra degree of confidence that these are what they claim them to be. I highly doubt that I'll ever use 1,000 of these, so I'll probably give some away but for the price, you can't beat this. There's nothing locally that you can get at this price point.

Twist-on wire connectors in the US are usually UL Listed 486C and CSA certified CSA-C22.2 #188, & RoHS compliant.Compliancy: On the website it says they are "UL486C Listed and CSA 22.2 No188 Certified," but there is nothing on the package they come in. There is no indication of compliancy with any UL or SA tags.On the website it also says they are rated up to 221°F (105°C).Otherwise, they are tough and work well. Yellow connectors can take 2 to 4 strands of #12 solid core wire, so I twisted together 3 and cranked the connector down. It held tight and the top didn't snap off as with some others I have used that are UL compliant. The shell is a bit softer than the other brand and will give slightly. There is a small bulge in the cap after tightening down on 3 wires as much as I could, but it didn't crack and the top didn't pop off.I also tried pulling out the wire spring inside and it held for all attempts ( both when tight and loose but holding).An extra is on the outside where there are some length gauges from 3mm to 8mm (1/8" to 5/16").4 stars - I would prefer to have the certifications written on the bag.
