This is a direct replacement for what I needed. Mounts up the same as the original. So far it works exactly as it should. This part is far less expensive than others and so easy to replace that it wouldn't matter to me if I had to swap it out more often.

DOES NOT FIT 2003 K1500. Very upset because the return window has closed before I could get it installed only to find out that it didn't fit.

I have a 1995 K2500 that I got 3 years ago. It had many issues but I tested the 4WD to make sure it worked and I swore it did. After fixing all of the issues I was driving around the farm and needed 4WD and instead had to put it in neutral and rescue it with my other truck. Frustrated I did not try to fix it as a 4WD fix for me has always been expensive in the past so I just used this as a 2WD truck.Skip to current day, I had the truck up in the air when rotating tires and decided to troubleshoot. I did not see or hear anything mechanically wrong so I did some research and found out this actuator failed often. After inspecting to make sure the electrical connections were okay I decided to just buy the part instead of testing the current actuator or that I had power to it.I few days after ordering the part I took all of 5 minutes to install, clean up, and drove off into the sunset using my 4WD.
