The nuit dimentsions were specified as follows: Nut Size:46 x 6 x 9.2/8.7mmTHe actual with of the nut I recieved was 49mm, the common size for these. I specifically chose this product because the Japanese 1970s Aria 12-string I am repairing uses this with nut. The distance from High E to Low E slots on the Aria should be 40mm, and on this nut it is 43+mm. That is also the width of the first fret on the Aria, so the High E and Low E strings will not fall on the fret. This can sort of be seen in the attached quickie photo. In addition the nut string slots are shallow and all the same size. Now I would expect to do some fitting of the strings to the slots, but this makes for a lot of extra work. I might as well be working from a bone blank. Why can't these vendors get the info correct? Now I will have to return it. I usually deal with StewMac but they didn't have this, so now it is back to searching or taking a blank and starting from scratch.
