I ordered the 6 pack of 2000 grit and only recieved 1. Thought it was a great deal.....what a joke. I don't blame Amazon, but, the vendor Bowlerstore needs to ship was is advertised.Also, the pad filled up with dust quicker than expected

I'm a luthier, not a bowler. These "1000 grit" pads looked like a less expensive alternative to Mirka Abralon pads, which are central to my guitar finishing work. There are a couple of differences, though. First, these pads are 5" in diameter, versus 6" for the Abralon pads. Second, and what is inaccurate in the Amazon description, is that they are not straight 1000 grit abrasive. They are clearly labeled P800-P1000 grit. So they are a mix of 800 grit and 1000 grit. Between this and the liberal amount of abrasive on the pads, they are a good bit more aggressive than Mirka 1000 grit pads. They are a useful product and I'm quite happy to find them, but they are not as described.UPDATE: I added another star! These things are great for leveling a finish, where I might otherwise have used 600 grit. And the backing foam is stiffer than Mirka's, which makes them work well for hand sanding curves and details. I recently placed my third order for them

I have 8 bowling balls and anytime I needed to add surface to one of them I had to pay a proshop to do it. Now I can do it myself and these pads are very easy to use and getting 6 of them is a great value.
