I thought these were not shaped properly when they first came out of the package but now that they have totally puffed up they are very symmetrical.

These seem to be your typical pottery sponges -- yellow, about 3 inches round. They ship vacuum packed, which is smart, but it does mean that you need to open the bag and let them puff up before you use them. I plan to use them for paint and leather dyes, mostly. They will do nicely.Only complaint is that they are maybe a tad pricey for the quantity.

These sponges have a fine texture rather than a more open type of sponge texture. They are holding up well. We have had some that were a similar color and seemed to be the same, but they disintegrated easily. These have been much more sturdy. They are leaving no "crumbs" and they are not tearing. These are obviously not the expensive pottery sponges, but they do a good job for the things that the less expensive sponges are usually used for.

Twelve 3 inch sponges, that come in a vacuum sealed pack. These are a must have for art or crafts! The edges of the sponges are rounded, which is different and can be helpful to keep edges of things you're working on soft. Very pleased with this set of 12.
