I got these telescoping inspection mirrors because I am always doing some type of project where I need to see behind something or down in the bowels of some compartment. These mirrors are pretty good –nice handle, long-enough telescoping section, stiff articulating joint, reasonable mirror size... But those LEDs – at first I was impressed and thought they were a great idea. It probably is a good idea, but this execution fails: when the LEDs are on, and you try to look into the mirror to see what is reflected, you are looking straight at those bright LEDs! These either need some type of hood or block in that direction, or they should be physically moved to the other side of the mirror, then aimed slightly away from the eyes. I have resorted to putting a small piece of black electrical tape on them, but now I keep losing that tape and finding it later when I don’t want it. Maybe some paint would do it. Anyway, at least they came with batteries pre-installed.The price for these six mirrors at the time of this review is $21, or about $3.50 each. I guess that is a good price and do they work pretty good ... without the light. And maybe I’m a little harsh, but I’ still deducting one star for the poor execution of the concept.
