Blade is dull...it technically works, but requires a level of tension unnecessary with other slitters and it creates a jagged cut rather than a smooth slice.

These letter openers perform quite well, opening envelopes neatly, quickly and safely. Not sure why anyone would need six at a time unless they are ordering for an office setting, but are a good value.

I finally had to replace my old blade style letter opener and found these, they work very well, open mail effortlessly and quickly, which helps me stay on top of the junk mail, bills and other mails that I get. I shred a lot of my mail, so I need something to open letters/mail quickly as I'm shredding and these openers do the trick! I like that there are 6 to the box, so now I can keep one in the kitchen for my husband who tends to rip into mail so it ends up looking like an angry ape opened it, hopefully, this will tame his inner beast and keep the mail looking neat for those few mail items I need to file
