Got this for a six year old at his titanic themed birthday party and he was obsessed with it. Kept calling it his special deep sea treasure. Kids are great, man. This thing is pretty cool, too.

This one works as advertised, it was the perfect size for my 6 year old. However, the reason for 4 stars - The box it came in is less than desirable. I understand it is a cheaper toy, but the hinges for the wooden box are rusted, and it was chipped in the front where my daughter would put her fingers to open the box. We are trying to return it to get a replacement. I bought this years ago for my son, and it was fine, so I think it might just be this box. The spy glass itself is perfect for smaller kids and works, I never had issues with the glass cracking or shattering.
