Do NOT get for a beginner! Not sure what is wrong but doesn't slot notes well. It's fun to mess around with and can work well, but it fights the entire time. When targeting f in the staff it can easily range from Gb to D but doesn't fall into place like a brand name mouthpiece does

I got the Cheerock 6.5 AL mouthpiece to fit a small bore, low-pitch HN White trombone from the early 1900s. After trying several different mouthpieces, we finally found one that allowed us to properly tune the instrument, and this one worked great!The fit is just right, and it brought out a full, rich tone from the old trombone. It's well-crafted and durable, and the response feels smooth and easy. If you're dealing with an older or unique instrument like mine, this mouthpiece is definitely worth a try.Highly recommended for anyone needing a reliable mouthpiece for a vintage trombone!

This mouthpiece is advertised as large shank. The tip is .427 inches which is a small shank. It is being returned.
