The first one I ordered happend to show up doa, so I submitted a return and replacement for the item. The new one was shipped immediately, and I was able to hand ups the original one the same day they delivered the new one. The second one I received is working perfectly. Quality item.

Hooked it up to my Particle, loaded the Encoder library, and everything worked perfectly the first time. The only slight issue was, with the library I am using, one physical click on the dial resulted in 4 pulses. Since it happens consistently it was trivial to compensate for in my code. 2 of them are perfect for driving my servo gimbal.

It worked as advertised in my application and seems to be a high quality part. Using a servo driver it runs my servo directly to position a device and its action is smooth and precise.
