Direct replacement for my dust mask. No idea if these would work for anything serious, but for work around the house they plug right in and function well.

Currently in the process of painting using a sprayer and these are a lifesaver. You NEED a vapor cartridge for that and my old ones were giving in. They are easily transferred onto a generic mask respirator that can have cartridges attached. You cannot gamble with your health and at this price, you really can't pass on these!

These activated carbon filters fit and work perfectly with standard 6001 mount masks. I purchased a couple of full-face respirators, and tried a few varieties of filter cartridges. These cartridges are as good as any I've tried.My standard "testing" protocol is to see if I can smell my neighbors' weekly trash fire, and these pass the test. I stand downwind wearing the respirator, and if I can't smell the smoke I know that I am at least getting a decent seal and that the filter is ostensibly doing its job for at least a couple of minutes. The rest I have to take on faith until I'm in a position to do more rigorous testing.I'm very happy with these filters and expect to put them to use when spray painting or working with nasty chemicals after the weather cools off a bit.The price seems to be on par with similar cartridges.

The 6001 filter cartridges work well with my 3M 7503 half mask and fit perfectly but they do not come with an efficient electrostatic oiling cotton pre-filter or cotton filter box cover to help prolong the activated carbon. The filter cartridges provided a good seal with my mask and I wasn't able to smell any of the moldy drywalls in my apartment. Both filter cartridges together weigh about 176.1 grams. Overall, it would've been nice if a pre-filter and filter box cover was included but the filter cartridges did work well at removing volatile organic compounds odors while tearing down moldy drywall.

These organic vapor cartridges work about the same at the original 3M modelunfortunately that is not that well though.I find that with these filters as well as with brand new fresh original 3M ones they do not do such a great job of absorbing the vapors.I used these while painting concrete block inside my garage with a concrete paint and I used these filters and the original 3M brand and I found almost no difference.I feel like I was still being exposed to harmful vapors with both.There just is not enough activated carbon in a filter of this size to make much of a difference.I might try the large canister filters next time because this style of filter cart just does not cut it.There is only a small amount of activated carbon and it wears out rather quickly.You are better off with not spending more on 3M products because 3M products are not what they are cracked up to be at all.My 3M half face respirator cracked apart and started sweating an oil like substance with a strong chemical smell that made me more sick that the vapors I was trying to block out.This was after very little use and even from the beginning it smelled.I have had other 3M PPE that fell apart wit almost no use at all literally any other brand is better than 3M with is supposed to be the standard.
