Your cart is empty.The 5mm piranha led is also known as the superflux led as well. This style led is extremely popular in sign lighting, not saying that it is the only option though. You definitely can't go wrong with it. It is also used in flood light applications. A couple other uses are brake lights, turn lights, etc.... The 5mm red piranha LED is sure to be a good choice.Despite the specifications of these lights, they put out an enormous amount of light and are very popular.

Very bright led's. More of a flood light than a flashlight / spot light sort of led. They all seem to be working and arrived fast. Thank you!

The notched corner usually denotes the cathode of the LED but not for the ones I got. I ended up having to remove 32 of these and trying to solder them back. They came backwards! Unlike the green ones I bought from this vendor, none of the red ones were DOA but 100% of them were built with the notch in the wrong side. I wish I had tested these before soldering them into place. The bottom line with all these cheap LEDs is to test each and every one before you have a large array made for your project.
