About this item

  • FITS FESTOOL SANDERS – Serious Grit 5-Inch, 9-Hole 220 grit hook & loop sanding discs are compatible with all Festool 125 Series ETS and Rotex random orbital sanders with 5" (125mm) pads including RO 125 FEQ, ETS EC 125/3 EQ, ETSC 125, and ETS 125 REQ. These sanding discs are ideal for sanding all surfaces, including wood, metal, drywall, epoxy, and painted surfaces.
  • MORE DURABLE & REUSABLE – Our sanding discs are made with polyester film construction which makes them nearly impossible to tear. No more frayed or torn edges when sanding around corners. We use a long-lasting 60% nylon hook & loop backing so you can reuse the same disc over and over. Never again worry about having discs flying off your sander.
  • LESS CLOGGING – Our proprietary heat-treated zinc stearate anti-clog coating sheds dust before it has a chance to clog up your disc, making these 220 grit sandpaper discs virtually dust free when paired with a vacuum or dust collection system.
  • SMOOTHER FINISH – The film construction creates a flatter, stronger disc that produces a better finish vs paper, mesh, or net sanding discs. With our anti-clog coating, the entire surface area of the disc stays effective longer, which improves cutting power and leads to a more consistent swirl-free finish.
  • HOOK & LOOP-BACKED FILM DISCS – Our discs are constructed with a heavy-duty polyester film backing material between the aluminum oxide abrasive grain and the hook and loop backing. This premium material creates a stronger disc, with more effective heat dissipation, and a better finish. These wet/dry discs are perfect for auto body work including paint removal and wet sanding.

Flashback to a few weeks ago when an 18 year old "pro" ran a drum sander on 3/4 inch T&G oak flooring with 40 grit pads. Not having the "experience" he claimed to have had, he went in EVERY direction to remove the old finish. He caused WAYYYY more damage than good, going diagonal, causing "resting divots", and going across the grain, etc...Sad, I know, but to add insult to injury, the homeowner decided to polyurethane the kitchen floor with 4 coats of gloss in one night with a squeegee. The kitchen sat for more than a week, with puddles in the uneven boards hardening every waking moment. I decided to tackle the kitchen last because it would require the most amount of physical labor and attention to detail.I own a professional sanding and HEPA dust removal system whose name rhymes with Rest-Tool. I've used their sanding discs for quite a while until Amazon "recommended" Serious Grit". Not ONLY do the have a more aggressive "bite" than the "Granat" discs I was accustomed to, but they didn't clog and wear out NEARLY as fast as the OEM ones!!!Although I had to go over the entire first floor INCH-BY-INCH, Serious Grit made the job a LOT easier, with a LOT less clogging and waste.I will NEVER USE another company's sanding discs, as I have TRULY found THE BEST.The attached picture is 60 year old 3/4" red oak T&G (with the help of Serious Grit) FINISHED.

This paper held up well and was slog to clog. Looks like a winner.

Works exactly as good as I'd expect. Cheaper than Festool and matches the hole pattern, which is what I was really going for.

I’ve used several brands of sandpaper and never found one I really like. This brand is really good and I will definitely continue using it. Highly recommend this product.

I was able to get the finish I wanted by sanding with 320, 400, 600, 800 and then 1000 grit sand paper. I was happy with the quality of the backing on the paper even with the finer grit.

Excellent sanding disks for Festool sanders. It cuts well, lasts longer and doesn’t load a quickly that the disks I am used to using. These are a lot cheaper than the Festool Granat disks and a few dollars more than my old brand.I am currently refinishing a Lane Furniture mid-century modern end table that has some oddball finish that I believe to be a mix of varnish and shellac. It’s not the OEM finish, I can tell someone relatively unskilled in finishing took a crack at this table and failed with the glue repairs and finish. It was goober work. The old finish looks bad and the surface has dents and scrapes that I’m fixing. I thought about using stripper but methylene chloride is nasty stuff so I only used it on the legs and spindles that were hand to sand. The old finish has been loading my other sanding disks quickly. I ran out of 150’s and ordered this brand, they arrived quickly. These disks cut much better and don’t load nearly as quickly, even with this weird new/old finish. See the photo of the disk after removing most of the finish from the table top, it’s only partly loaded. You can see the finish half gone from the table top and then completely gone. The “shop inspector” gave me the go ahead to stain and finish.Good disks, cost a bit more but worth it due toBetter performance. I will buy more as I run down the stick of my old brand. Hope that helps.

I figured I’d try this just to see how it does since it’s cheaper than the 3m Xtract I usually use. It’s pretty decent paper with longer use time than I was expecting. Its didn’t clog up much if at all but still didn’t cut super quickly. It’s a pretty good option for its price point for sure but it won’t be replacing my 3m paper any time soon.
