These seem to be good quality binders. I moved a bunch of stuff from a 2 inch binder to this one, and it works very well. I'm not deducting any stars because I just failed to see this when I got it, but do know that these (and many) 3 inch binders have hard covers that are a couple inches longer than 2 inch binders. It's apparently to better protect the paper inside, but it means that I can't fit this on the bookshelf where I had a 2 inch binder before. Just a thing to know, as if you want to put this on a shelf next to a binder with "standard" measurements it may stick out.

Very sturdy and seem to be well-made. There are pockets inside that I can slip papers into, and the D-rings inside are held shut by very strong springs—effectively zero chance of these popping open accidentally. I'm going to be storing a bunch of old three-ring CD sleeves in these and I know they'll do the job well.

As a writer, I have a rather large archive of printed and paper materials that I like to keep in my home office. I like to use these large binders to keep thing organized by year. These binders are a good value, because the price is so low. Usually, a 4-5" D-Ring binder will cost you twice as much for one binder! This costs half as much for 2 binders. So on that point, they are worth a try. But these are not heavy duty binders. These are more the economy view binders in terms of construction and materials. It uses that thin vinyl that you see on most binders, rather than the thicker vinyl you see on expensive binders. At 5" rings, the hinges in the corner and the bottom edges will wear out first. But that is only if you handle these binders a lot. As for my use, once they are filled up, the binders are hadly every touched again except to move around to make more room on the shelf. So, for limited-use shelf storage these will do just fine and I'm glad I ordered it.

I used this to organize my recipes. The binder is good and strong but not impossible to open or too much of a SNAP to close. The body of the binder is strong and sturdy. Good design, my recipes are happy in their new home.

These binders are nice and sturdy. Each binder has pocket on the front, side and back that is transparent so you can slide a paper in each. There are also pockets inside the binder. The rings are "D" shaped and seem to open and close easily.

These ring binders are not the standard size you see at most office stores- they are enormous. Perfect for massing very large amounts of paper materials together. This would be very helpful for projects and you could subdivide chapters or sections of material with dividers for ease of use. Do be aware your binder will be heavy if filled up - but this unique set of paper/ project organizers will keep all your materials together, in one place.
