I have had a low spot on my patio where water funnels in. I put these out and blocked the water and diverted it over.Worked great.Wish I had thought of it sooner.

I don’t have a kid pool or large enough bucket to wet these,so I hose down and kept flipping. They inflated enough for keeping water from getting into my catio because my lawn is above my concrete. I wouldn’t trust this to keep water out of a house or basement situation. Gel oozed out of any one of them. But it’s working for my needs as we don’t get much rain in Northern California compared to other states.

I bought these for my son after his condo flooded from Hurricane Helene. 10 days later, Milton came. We put 3 at his sliding glass door and 1 at his front door. No water intrusion. The water came up to the second barrier. I highly recommend.

These work so well! We use them during high storm events to divert water and they work so great. They do take some time to get filled so it’s important to get them wet prior to use and they are going to be super heavy and a bit slimy for a LONG time afterwards. We set them in the garage for over a month waiting for them to shrink as they dry. Overall, they work great and are a value since they are reusable.

We just went through hurricane Milton here in Central Florida. I am a 68 year old woman and hauling around sandbags is out of the question. I activated these before the storm. It took some work to evenly distribute the moisture absorbing material but well worth it. I placed them against our garage door and two exterior entrance doors and we had no water to enter our home. I recommend them!

These are perfect if you are anticipating a rain storm or flooding, but don't want to keep around real sand bags because of the space they take up and the potential mold/health issues with just keeping sand around. These are silica based and are completely flat until they take up water. Super easy to store in the shed if and when you need them. As per instructions, they take some time to activate in water, and are a little lumpy and soggy but seem to do the trick of keeping out 85% of the water. It's not the best until you start stacking them and adding weight, at which point it may become cost prohibitive. But we bought a few sets of these and stored them just in case we needed them...and one season we did. It was super convenient to not have to go to a local center to fill sandbags and to instead just lay these out and watch them balloon up. However, they aren't perfect at diverting water--some will get around the edges as it is less malleable than real sand bags. But they make up for it in convenience factor.
