These clamps hold just as you would expect. Works great and very easy if you have the proper tool to remove and install them.

These are American made and will fit onto a 5/8 heater core hose. I don't think these are really meant to be used for automotive water hose applications. These were really hard to work with even with the proper hose clamp tools. If you use pliers or vise grips on the clamps they will bend and lose their shape easily. These really easy to bend and are of a thin gauge metal. Comparing the spring tension of these to an automotive-grade 5/8 spring clamp may not be equal. These will work great for appliances, vacuum lines, or some low-pressure non-critical applications.

Great hose clamps. Black in color. Fitment is great. Great option if a worm drive clamp is not desired or one does not like the look of the screw drive. This has a clean unobtrusive look.

These are superior clamps in that they provide constant tension.I have had a radiator hose come off on the highway with the worm gear type of clamp.They do NOT provide constant tension, which is important as the hoses age and compress under the pressure of the clamp.I am replacing corroded clamps and the worm gear types on my vehicles with these.
