Indeed, friends, my carton of salt arrived loose in a cardboard box, which meant the cap on the plastic container had broken, and the salt was rattling around in the box and leaking sadly from the corners. If you were hoping for a non-broken cap, this is not your best choice. If you were, like me, simply desperate for some salt to turn your death-trap front steps into slightly less of a death-trap, this will work. Simply leave the box at your front door, open gently, and dump the loose salt on your step, then save the rest of the container. I give it 3 stars because, well, the salt is salty. It is a mix of very chunky pieces and tiny specks; hard to tell if this is by design. True, if the seller would just put a tiny bit of crumpled up paper in the box, they would likely have many happy customers. But oh well; into every life, a little salt must fall.

I'm very satisfied with the product itself. However, the packing (second time with this company) was insufficient to keep the container closed. The product spilled into the box. To make matters worse, the container was open a bit and water from rain on delivery day went through the cardboard box into the container, making some of the contents unusable. Again, the product is good. Packing and shipping method are unsatisfactory. Thanks.
