Skepticism Overcome by Simplicity:I freely admit, I was initially hesitant. A tall cat gate that could actually keep my adventurous felines contained seemed too good to be true. But the reviews were positive, and the price was reasonable, so I decided to take the plunge. I'm happy to report, my skepticism was misplaced!Installation? A Breeze!Setting up the gate was surprisingly straightforward. The instructions were clear (and thankfully, brief!), and the whole process took less than 20 minutes with no drilling required.Quality Built & Effective:Now, onto the most important part: Does it work? Absolutely! The gate is sturdy and well-made, exceeding my expectations for quality. More importantly, it's doing exactly what I needed it to do - keeping my cats safely contained in designated areas while still giving them plenty of room to roam.Overall, I highly recommend the 71" Tall Cat Gate to any cat owner looking for a safe and easy solution to pet containment. It's a winner in my book!

At the time that I purchased this, it was much cheaper than the other options out there. I was skeptical to purchase it because of that, but decided to give it a go anyway. I am so glad that I did! I have a sick rescue cat in my laundry room/quarter bath and had been keeping the door closed to keep him separated from my other animals while he does his rounds of medicine. I live in a place that experiences all 4 seasons, and do not have a central heating or cooling system. Instead, we have a boiler and window air conditioner. This means that with the door closed, the room is often much colder or warmer than the rest of the house. Fine when the weather is mild, not so great when we hit one extreme or the other. This very sturdy and well made gate was the solution to having kitty getting to be in the same comfortable climate as the rest of the house but kept from spreading his respiratory illness to my other cats. I am in the process of redoing my home office and will be purchasing a second gate for that room once done, definitely worth the purchase!

Our new rescue puppy (9#) is an escape artist and climbs out of the baby pen that we have in the living room for when we are gone. We also have a 48# goldendoodle who has full access to the house 24/7. We can't trust the boys alone together yet (when we are gone), so a solution was needed. This gate it perfect and exceeds my expectations! I was concerned about it being just tension-installed, but there is actually a permanent installation possible with the provided materials. HOWEVER, destroying my door frame wasn’t needed—the gate is very snug with the tension cups; it won’t budge.The goal of the purchase was to keep the puppy contained in the spare bedroom while I am away from home. I didn’t realize how helpful the little door in the bottom would be. The puppy regularly uses it to have quiet time away from the big dog when we are all home and he is exploring the house. It’s clear he thinks it is his safe space. This is important, since he is a rescue and a little shy/nervous. The mini door has adjustable heights, so the big dog can’t get through.The locking system is very secure, unlike the plastic pop-up locks on many of the short gates. The gate was super simple to install. .This was a terrific purchase!
