After a repairman diagnosed the problem and said the boards were no longer available, I was happy to find it here, so I didn't have to buy a new fridge.

This board fit my fridge, but did not fix my issue of the fan constantly starting and stopping every few seconds. But I did find a bad capacitor on my original board, C1(?), which was a 1000uf 10v cap, 5mm lead spacing, 10.3mm tall, 10.3mm diameter; you could probably get this part or similar to replace it with: 10WXA1000MEFCT810X9. I replaced this on my board and it's been working perfect now. Sorry this board didn't work for me; it actually made my fridge and freezer too warm and my ice started melting...

I installed it in my 2007 Kenmore side by side refrigerator as the freezer worked fine, but the fresh side was too warm and the fan was pulsing.Initially, it seemed to be ok as the pulsing stopped, but then the fresh side got really cold, like 32° before I took action to adjust it. I made adjustments to both the fresh and frozen temp settings and it seemed to cruise ok for a few weeks. Then, the fresh side got warm again. I noticed the damper door was not opening so I benchtop tested it to be ok. After putting everything back together again, and manually forcing the damper open, I noticed no air was coming in when the fan was on. I emptied the freezer to check the coils, which were frost covered, blocking the airflow. Forcing a defrost did not work so I got out the hair dryer and melted everything. The defrost thermostat tested good, so I suspected the board I just installed was the problem. The listing says there is a one year warranty, but I could find no way to contact the seller, plus I had no faith in the product.I ordered another board from a different seller, noting in the photo that it was manufactured elsewhere. It came in today and as I am an expert in taking apart the inside of my fridge, got it installed quickly. Happy to say the damper door opens and closes, and the defrost works again.Returning this board.

I had an appliance repair company come out to repair my refrigerator, the part to repair my refrigerator was discontinued. The repair person was very nice and knowledgeable and showed me exactly what was wrong with the refrigerator. I thought I was going to have to buy a new refrigerator and even went and looked at them, but got to thinking about the part I decided I wanted to try to find it. Once I went on to repair clinic website and it gave me suggestions on how to find the part I put the part number in the search engine and this part came up. This part doesn’t look like the part that originally was supposed to be replaced (a bunch of wires) but it does work.I even read the reviews of this part and one customer actually had the exact same model refrigerator FRS6LF7JW3 that I had, and was experiencing the same issue. It was the refrigerator defrost control, the fan was turning off and on at about 1-3 second intervals. Fridge and freezer getting warmer and warmer. So I decided to order the part to see if it worked and so far so good works like a dream. Fridge is nice and cold maybe even better than before. The wires in first picture is the part discontinued and this board second picture replaces it and it works!!

Exact replacement for a Frigidaire model FRS6LF7JW3. The defroster was not working and after changing the thermostat with no success, ordered this defrost timer CCA. It was fairly easy to install and fixed the problem. It's been cooling perfectly for the last 4 months!

I used this product to replace freezer control board for Frigidaire Model# FRS3R5ESB5 AND WORKS PERFECTLY FINE. Also, nicely fit, so need to put any holding glue on the edge. After replacing no more deforesting in the freezer and no warmer in Refrigerator section. Work best. Always start testing from Fan in freezer, deforest thermostat, deforest heater, Control board.

I have a Frigidaire side-by-side refrigerator that had been performing poorly for a little over a year. The back of the freezer section was frosting over and the fridge side was not getting cold enough. I was able to manually defrost the freezer every few months, but eventually, the fridge would not cool below 50 degrees, and I had perishables going bad quickly. The defrost fan was constantly cycling on and off about every 5 seconds, making a surging noise that I could hear from the next room.I watched a lot of YouTube videos and started with the cheapest possible fixes. The defrost thermostat was about $10 and moderately easy to swap out. It didn't help. The defrost fan was about $20, but also didn't fix the issue. Next was the Defrost Control Board. If you have seen many YouTube videos on replacing this board, most will show a kit containing a circuit board in an orange-colored plastic box and a new wiring harness. From what I could figure out, the orange box was an updated circuit board by Frigidaire, and it required the new wiring harness if you were replacing the older board in the white box. This board is a replacement for the old board, and doesn't require any changes to the wiring. You can swap out the old defective board with this one and be done. The process is fairly easy. Watching some videos would be helpful before you try it yourself, so you know how to remove the plastic housing. The tools you need are a 1/4-inch nut driver, a Philips screwdriver, and maybe a flashlight. Unplug the fridge, or switch of the electricity at the circuit breaker. Use the nut driver to remove all of the screws holding the white plastic housings at the top of the fridge compartment. You'll need a nut driver with a reach of about 3 inches. A socket wrench may not be narrow enough to reach some of the deeper screws. Mine got stuck. Don't remove any of the Philips-head screws until the wiring harness is disconnected and the plastic housings are removed. There are two screws holding the white plastic circuit box into the plastic housing. Remove those, unplug the wiring harness going to the board, then open the white box containing the circuit board, replace the board, and put everything back together. As others have mentioned before, you'll probably need to turn your fridge and freezer settings back down below factory settings. Mine were maxed out before this fix, and my fridge section was below freezing within 2 days. This was probably an easier fix than the thermostat or the defrost fan, and my freezer and fridge are both working perfectly now. It's worth trying this swap if you're experiencing the symptoms mentioned earlier.
