These are smaller than the normal-sized plugs that I use in my aerogarden but I can fit 2-3 of them into a well which allows me to use the hydroponic setup to get seeds started very effectively before transferring to smaller pots for growing. There was the added benefit of having my seeds separated already by the plugs so they were easy to separate into individual pots. These worked well for me.

These grow sponges work great, and fit perfectly in my mini hydroponic system. I just placed my seeds in the shallow hole located at the top, slipped the sponges into the conical openings in my system, and done. They swell slightly once in contact with the water, filling the holders and gently encasing the seed. I had an excellent germination rate, and the roots easily grew through the sponge material. Once sprouted, I transferred some to soil, and a couple into net pots with clay pellets a "deep water culture" hydroponics system. These worked great for both applications. I feel These would also work well for cloning/propagation, though I'd soak the sponges prior for easier insertion of the cuttings. Very happy with this item.

As I get ready to prepare new round of seedling for this spring, it was important to me that I find replacements that were made of biodegradable materials. These have a nice texture to them without being either too dense or too crumbly, and the longer cone shape (compared to other replacements I have seen) fits well into my system. We'll see as the season progressed if they live up to their claim of reducing root rot, but so far I have liked working with them. They are not necessarily the most cost effective option out their, though much less than the name brand from the system I have, but they are not that much more than other natural based sponge kits, many of which seem to have non standard shape or sizes, and I hope that is indicative of a higher quality of materials.

This is a great bulk set of sponges. I have an Aero Garden Bounty system, and they fit my system and baskets perfectly. I've used other sponges that are a bit too short and fall low in the baskets. These ones fit just right. I got these at $15 for the set. They're great quality and I've not failed at germination yet with these so I would definitely recommend these to others.

These were a great value for the money and fit my system perfectly. I have grown many flowers in my unit using these replacement pods. Very happy with my order.

I did a test of two of these pods in my Aerogarden. Tossed some basil seeds in one pod and petunia seeds in another. Didn't presoak, just tossed them in some baskets I had. Both pods sprouted and grew.

They do the job .I use with my Aerogarden and they fit just fine.Here's a tip for all sponges,just nuke them in microwave for a few seconds just in case there's mold hiding in them,works like a charm to kill off any bad bacteria.This is a decent price too.

Purchased as an extra gift to the AeroGarden system. I do not have first hand experience, but the person who received the gift said that these worked well and they were happy with them.
