Follow the directions all the way to the end without the glue the first time so you can fully understand what's going to be going on. Does take some "arts and crafts" skills but the main one is reading the directions very carefully and following them exactly.My surround was a smidgen too large but that's mentioned in the instructions. Easy to trim with scissors.

I used this product to redo the speakers in an Infinity center channel. The surrounds were a perfect fit to the frames and the bevel angle mated very well with the cones. The only shortcoming was that the rigidity of the little glue bottle made it difficult to apply an even bead of the fast setting adhesive. The end result however was quite satisfactory and the speaker is hard at work in my computer room surround system.

I'm absolutely a noob at repairing foam surrounds. That said, I found the instructions clear on everything. The videos were helpful, as well.Centering the speaker was the hardest part of the process. I took off one star since the glue that was supplied had it's stem broken in a way that glue went everywhere when used, but it worked nonetheless. My Infinity Sterling Center channel sounds great.

I used this kit to repair a pair of Infinity speakers with crumbling foam. It took several hours but the results were excellent - the speakers sound fantastic. It took a lot of time to clean off the old foam with isopropyl alcohol but I wanted to make sure to get all the old foam and glue off so the new glue and foam would adhere well. A key to the process was the technique that Springfield Speaker recommends for centering the cone using your smartphone and your amplifier. You play a tone through the speaker while gluing the foam so the cone is vibrating back and forth. If the cone is off center, it will make a very noticeable noise so you can move the surround a bit to make the noise go away. Simple, ingenious and worked like a charm.
