I used this to seal between the Outboard Bracket I installed on My formerly Inboard driven Glastron Runabout. It seems to be doing it's job well, as It hasn't leaked yet and it lives in the water full time. It's one of the types of products where people try to scare you into purchasing super expensive sealant, but I have to say that this stuff seems to be every bit as good as the 3M, or comparable high priced competitor.I'll have no reservations about using this again to seal a point below the water line, as it has proven itself effective!

I've used the 3M 5200 previously to repair the transom on my boat and this stuff is incredibly strong. It's on a different level compared silicone. Silicone is fairly strong once fully cured but it's flexible and has a tendency to crack when the two materials expand and contract at different rates. This stuff is a lot more rigid and won't crack. It's almost like epoxy but more flexible. If you ever have to remove it, good luck trying to separate the bond. More than likely you'll end up damaging the piece.

This is an industrial strength tube that I have not see before. It has a metal cap on the back side where the caulking gun's plunger will be inserted. In other words, it is sealed. Once you unseal it by removing the metal cap by pulling its ring, like you would open a tube of Pingles chips, the seal will break and you will have some limited time to work the sealer.Warnings let you know that this is not your normal caulk or sealant. It makes me think wearing hazmat suit. I also think that small disposable gloves that are included in the package are too small for working with this dangerous compound that can give you skin allergy or worse: get the gloves with some high cuffs.
