The Magnefine 5610000-5/16 is one of the two variants of fluid filters that Jackson Racing supplies for the Rotrex supercharger kits for the FA20 BRZ/FRS/86. This Magnefine part will work perfectly as a replacement, even if the original filter in your kit was a Raybestos unit. Save yourself the upcharge and shipping fee from JR and get the exact same part that they would provide from Amazon when it's time to do your 2 year/50k mile maintenance.

I am a huge fan of these little filters. They are small and durable, and filter quite well from what I can tell. Super easy to install, all you need is two clamps and a few zip-ties to make sure they don't rub on anything important. I run one on my current G35 and ran one on my last car too. These provide cheap insurance against costly repairs in the future. As with many newer transmissions, the RE5R05A doesn't really have a transmission filter built in, its just a fine screen. Thus, this should promote keeping the fluid clean and trap any particulates suspended in the fluid. Great quality product from Magnefine. Installing one on my second car this week!

I saw reviews on other filters for coming apart or whatever but this is a metal filter so it is stronger.It seems to do its job and the fluid does look better.This is preventative maintenance folks so don't be cheap.

This is an updated version of the filter, which I have been using for over 60k miles now. I like it even better than the old one. It's all metal, very solid, and does its job well.
