These axle nuts are better quality and heavier gauge metal than the competition! I have a 30 year old Rubbermaid round 50 gallon trash can in excellent condition, but with those black wheels t that finally broke, but the can is made of heavier plastic than the junk being sold today! SO, I replaced the wheels with new upgraded ones with bearings, but had to cut off the original axle nuts! I know the can and new wheels with axle caps will go another 30 years! 😉

These are exactly what I needed. They fit snugly on the 3/8" rod. A bit lighter weight than those from Lowes, but at a small fraction of the cost.
