Just wanted to add to the positive reviews of this RAM module. Replaced the stock module in our Xerox Phaser 4510, which was displaying a RAM Error message, and it started up again with no issues. All for a fraction of the official Xerox replacement kit.

I bought this item because everyone else here was saying it was worth it. We couldn't have asked for a better price. Xerox wanted $599 for the same item. It is easy to install and is working great. You can't go wrong on purchasing this. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product!!!

Bought this due to other user reviews and it was a 5 star as far as I was concerned. Fixed our Xerox Phaser's 4510N flawlessly. Highly recommend!

I was skeptical that a $16 memory chip could do the same thing as a memory upgrade kit that Xerox sells for $1200. Moreover, the Phaser 4510 service manual claims that it can't use a 512mb ram chip.Too good to be true, right? But I figured for $16, why not give it a try.But it works great. No complaints.Installation only takes a couple minutes. First unplug the printer. Remove the thumbscrew on the right rear of the printer, and the right plastic panel. You will see a metal panel. On the right side of the panel, near the top, are two short thumbscrews. Remove these and part of the metal panel will come off. This will reveal the image processing board. The old ram chip will be installed in a slot near the top. To remove it, gently push the plastic clasps on the side of the chip outward. This wil release the tension on the chip and it will pop forward. Put the bottom edge of the new chip into the slot, and gently push the top edge until it clicks into place.

Had a faulty memory on Xerox Phaser 4510, bought this being a bit unsure. Disconnected the printer, removed side panel, replaced ram, started right up. Printing every since.

I was a little nervous about buying memory this much off of the direct-from-xerox price, but it worked without a problem. It was straightforward replacing the bad memory in my Phaser 4510 (had been getting a "bad ram" error on startup) -- a five-minute job using the instructions on the Xerox website. It was no problem to use the replacement ram in place of the bad ram, leaving the second ram slot empty. I'm disappointed that Xerox and every authorized reseller charges over $500 to do the same service -- a reasonable charge is ok but 2000% markup is craziness. I really appreciate parts-quick's help.
