Gamecube said card was corrupted and needed to be reformatted, so I clicked okay, then it said it needed to reformat again. After clicking through this numerous times it just said it was corrupted and could not be used. I tried several games and they said the same thing. Not usable at all.

I always get a little nervous about using third-party memory cards for any game system. I've had some particularly traumatizing experiences with similar products for the Sega Dreamcast. As you probably already know from reading other reviews, the memory card is not truly 512 MB, but rather four 128 MB storage chips mounted on one card. You have to manually select which one you want to access by pressing the small button on the bottom of the card. Pro-tip: Don't do this while accessing a save. It's best if you don't press it in-game at all. Make your selection before booting up the game.Amazon tells me that I've owned one of these since July 2016. I haven't had any issues during this time, but I also don't use my Gamecube regularly. Having used similar products on other systems, I recommend you keep backups of all your most prized saves on 1st party memory cards. If you just need something to store your extra crap, and it wouldn't be the end of the world if you lost a few saves, I'd recommend this product. Like I said, I haven't had any issues, but these types of third-party products aren't exactly known for their longevity. I hope I'm proven wrong with this one.

These little things are quite useful if you have a lot of games to manage saves for. A single save node can hold multiple saves from multiple games, and having four separate nodes just makes things that much better. I recommend getting at least one of these if you've got lots of games for the GameCube, or have lots of saves that are taking up the blocks of a smaller sized memory card. Be sure to turn the console off before switching nodes, however, as I'm certain that will cause all sorts of problems, just like pulling a memory card out while the console is still on. This SHOULD help avoid any data becoming corrupted.

Cheap, works great and a ton of storage! There is a little button that actually takes you to different parts of the memory card. I believe there are four sections that allow you to save game play. It would work great if you had a few kids and they each wanted to save their own progress. I use mine on a Wii for Double dash MarioKart and for smash bros. Works great and has a ton of extra space and that is only on one portion of the memory card, I haven't used the other three sections!
