I like the variety of sizes, the thread quality of the inserts and the latched storage box . I wanted to check out some different sizes to test if these would provide a convenient way to fix some water damaged teak furniture. To try the internal thread quality I screwed an M6 bolt into one of the inserts and fit was perfect. Because of the type of furniture damage I'm not sure if threading the inserts in will work and am probably going to just epoxy them in and bolt up after its cured. This is another tool in the arsenal and a nice quality set that I know will come in handy when it's least expected.

These threaded inserts are exactly what I was looking for. Unlike helicoil repair inserts, which need a special tap (a wider version of the original thread size), these inserts are thicker and use a completely different thread on the outside than the inside. For example, the M6x1 has an M10x1.5 outside thread.Thicker inserts like this are best for soft materials like plastic and wood while helicoil are best for repairs in metal.
