My masks aren't ready for wear yet, so to test out these elastic strings I cut an eye mask out of cardstock and the elastic string worked perfectly. The little metal pieces on the ends of the string can fold flat so they don't come back through the holes. You can use a couple dots of glue to keep the string ends in place, but they seem pretty solid just on their own. They seem like a good length--it fit my head--and I am an adult with a round head. So I assume these are sized "Fits Most." These are great for party masks or masks you make with some kids. And if you don't glue them, these strings can be reused. They work.

These cords are very stretchy. They are made from a durable elastic string that feels tough and wear resistant. Each separate cord has a metal pin which acts as a lever (more on that later) for attachment. This metal retaining pin is securely attached to the cord by a deep, strong crimp. Since the pin is only crimped on one side, the pin can be fed through the mounting hole then levered 90 degrees to keep it from coming back out.I know these are designed for use with masks but there are so many other possible uses that I think they would be an excellent addition to any maker’s supply closet. Personally, the first project I used them for was to attach a padded back strap to my computer headset. I was able to feed the metal pin though the holes on either side of the strap and around rear of each ear cup yoke. These cords worked perfectly to apply just the right amount of tension to keep the backstrap in place.
