the ring on the bottom won't stay on.I decider to test the weight to see how it registered with my pressure gauge and found that the values were reasonable.this summer I wish to can vegetables at a lower pressure.when I removed the weight the balance lock(?) came off. I did put it back on & tested the other weights but each time I removed the weight the lock stayed on my cooker.will send feedback & request a replacement from Amazon.replacement arrived and tested. this one works fine.upgraded to 4 stars as I did have a problem.

It fits my Presto canner. The canner came with a 15 lb. nonadjustable jiggler, and I only need 10 lbs. at my elevation. Should be good to go now at 10 lbs.

sorry about the spelling ...i love this product. when i got my presher canner it only had a 15 lbs waight and i only needed a 10 lbs waight it was so handy and if i go some were else i can use the 5, 10, or the 15 lbs waight its so versital and has worked wonders and it dase a cute holla dance that speeds up and slows down depending on the presher this is how i can tell if the heat is to high or low and i dont need to be standing over it i can be doing other things and sas long as i hear the stedy rocking i only need to come and check on it ps im not a master canner im just a beginner and i find this helpfull.

I prefer a weight to using the dial gauge. This weight does the job and you have 3 choices of pressure to choose from.

I ordered this for my pressure gauge canner , which is brilliant but I wanted to use a weighted one too just to be safe . However it did not fit into my steam spout . I think this maybe just for the branded canner like presto as mine was just an unbranded one I bought from eBay , It is a real shame as I was looking forward to using it

I love this. Once the required pressure is reached it starts doing a hula, and you can start timing. I can hear the gentle rattle as it swings to and fro even though I am in the next room. Once you have adjusted the heat so that it does a gentle hula rather than a mad dance, it does all of the work of maintaining the correct pressure for you. No more anxious hanging around continually checking to see it the pressure has dropped or risen too high. It can have weights added or removed to get the correct pressure for your altitude. Many canners doing videos on YouTube refer to it as “the jiggler” because of how it jiggles during the canning process.
