These socket pins are identical to some I received from Digikey and Arrow Electronics. The insertion force required for entry is typical/smooth, however, the retention seems on the high side. When trying to extract a chip from these sockets, a little more force is required than usual. It would be best to use a proper removal tool anyway, so invest in that/those. These sockets are a great value and the bonus solder makes the deal even better.
