This has a nice solid build quality to it. The finish appears to be powder coated, which should help it be more durable. The hook rotates freely. It is held in the loop by a nut that was welded prior to it being powder coated. There's a bit of powder coating missing on the inside of the hook, presumably where it was hanging when it was coated. However, that's probably the part where it's going to rub/wear off anyway, as that is where all the pressure/pulling and rubbing is done when it's in use. Happy to recommend.

When we have trees in our woods that naturally die, we drag them out and use them for firewood. This hook is perfect for that activity. The hook fits our log tongs and most of our other drag chains.The hook is made well. The red finish seems durable (and the color is perfect for finding when you drop it into a pile of leaves). It performs fine under load (although none of the logs we’ve pulled come close to a ton). The safety latch is typical and honestly these never last on any hook I’ve ever used so I will be surprised if it lasts. This hook is a good value.

This small and mighty 360 degree swivel hook has a 1 ton or 2200 pound rating….excellent for small loads!The latching clasp or tongue built onto the hook is spring loaded and helps to keep the chain or rope onto the hook at least temporarily until weight of the load is on the hook…it is a great feature although one shouldn’t bet the farm with it.This small hook has a “ton” of applications around the homestead, farm or industrial setting.Great value!

This is a nice heavy duty durable hook. It’s properly and clearly labeled and looks exactly as shown on the pictures. Price point is reasonable.

High-PQ Red Heavy Duty Swivel Hook 1-T appears to be adequate for the stated purpose and load.The hook and lifting eye appear to be well-made forgings. There are a couple downsides:1. The lifting eye is attached to the hook by means of a threaded stud that's part of the hook; a nut is threaded on and then welded in place. The description in one of the photos states that there is a "built-in rotary bearing". In fact there is no bearing...the lifting eye simply has a hole in it that the threaded stud fits into. I've use this type of hook that does have an actual bearing, so I know what it should look like.2. The safety latch is very thin, poor quality, and poorly attached.For the $7.99 current price, the couple things I mentioned are insignificant, and this lifting hook will do the job. I only wish the seller would have a more honest description without the hyperbole.
