I got these to use with my young nephews...they've both always liked cooking & I'm gonna support that 1000% for as long as the interest persists! We've explored the various things one can do with silicone molds, baking or freezing & whatnot, & as they're parents had recently taken them for sushi for the 1st time I thought these would be a good tie-in for that.Since imo these couldn't be easier or more explanatory to use, I let them try for themselves without any input (except speaking) from me & they knocked it outta the park. We had yummy tuna/mayo/cucumber onigiri rolled in Everything But The Bagel seasoning & it was delicious!

There's not much to say for the appearance of these, but they are quite durable and good at what they're for. They're more than easy to clean, they're a great size, and they're so easy to use!

I’m absolutely in love with the 5 Pcs Onigiri Mold Maker set! This Rice Ball Sushi Mold Kit is perfect for anyone who loves making homemade sushi or enjoys fun DIY cooking projects. The molds are incredibly easy to use, and the non-stick feature makes demolding a breeze. I’ve been making rice balls and musubi for my kids’ lunches, and they love how cute and fun they look! The shapes are perfect, especially the triangle musubi mold, which gives a perfect sushi-like presentation every time. The molds are durable and easy to clean, and the whole set makes it simple to experiment with different fillings and flavors. This kit is a fantastic way to get creative in the kitchen and is great for kids and adults alike. I’ve owned a connected pair medium-sized triangular onigiri molds for many years and I use them regularly, mostly to make yaki onigiri. I wanted to get a few more so that I could have 2 people make them at the same time. The medium triangle and the small triangle are the type of mold that I already owned that have a “bottom” and a tab on the bottom for pushing out the compressed rice. I like these tabs because they are connected at 3 points and consequently push the molded rice out more evenly than my single-hinged mold tabs. The medium triangle is exactly the size that I wanted. I didn’t really notice in the listing that one of the triangles was smaller. It’s too small for my taste, but you may like it. The pistons on these triangles is not very deep so you don’t have much leeway to make a thin triangle. However, that minimum thickness (~ 1-inch, 2.5cm) is perfect for my preference. (The attached photo of a rice ball shows the minimum thickness of the medium mold.)The large triangle and the rectangular molds are bottomless. That was not clear in the listing photos, and I’m disappointed by that (probably because I’ve never had molds like that before). But they still work well and give you the flexibility to make the packed rice thicker or thinner. They’re both bigger than I had hoped but that’s my fault for not looking at the dimensions in the listing. The paddle is pretty small but works well.I was surprised that the interiors of the molds (and the paddle) are rough textured. I thought that would make it difficult for the molded rice to pop out, but that’s not the case. In fact, I think they’re deliberately textured to keep the compressed rice from sticking. If you like the sizes and shapes, and you don’t mind 2 bottomless onigiri molds, then these are very good, and at a good price, so I’m giving them 5-stars.

These are fun shapes for making sushi. I haven't used any other brands so don't have anything to compare them to, but these seem to work fine.

These are easy to use but are way bigger than I thought. I tried using them to make Japanese food at home, and they are huge. The rice cakes and sushis turned out bigger than expected. But I was able to use them, and they look like they will last, so they are good quality.
