1.Style:Pk2 Spring Gate Kit

  • The big silver spring is made of galvanized Spring steel, it can be extended up to 19.69 feet. Bigger than usual spring size makes entering and exiting the fence gate easier.
  • Plastic gate handles are made of impact-resistant sturdy and UV-resistant plastic. The grip surface is easier to grip. The handle is fitted with an internal tension spring and has a double ring at the end for easy installation and use.
  • Double hook anchor insulators are made of galvanized steel, both rings are conductive. Round plastic part is molded in one piece for a sturdy structure. The opening of one ring is designed to be very small. It can prevent the hook from slipping out. Two rings are fixed and won't move or slide to one side. Screw-in design is specially for wood post.
  • Plastic pin-lock insulator comes with 3-way gate anchor plate allows for 3 separate connections or electric fence gate handle anchors.
  • What you get: 5 x 19.69ft big spring, 5 x spring gate handle in blue, 5 x plastic pin-lock insulators with 3-way gate anchor connecting plate & joint clamp, 5 x double hook anchor insulators and 10 screws.

Idea for temporary and potable fencing, convenient for any electric fencing .it can help you open and close your electric fence gate easily and consistently on a daily basis.

A quality product that makes a good replacement for old gates when reusing the original ends and costs significantly less than buying new gates

These are very tight and right. Good electrical current. No sagging. Only caution I have is when attaching the handles to the springs, it seems you have to run it through the ring a specific way, or it does not go onto the ring correctly. Had to put it on and take it off again on one, because the second one went on correctly and then I realized the first one was not. Sorry, no pictures of what I experienced...I didn't think to take pictures at the time.

Listing pictures show using a spring in addition to the handle. There is a built in spring inside the handle like most fence handles so I think an extra spring is not needed. Granted the built in spring doesn't have a lot of give so don't cinch it down completely when wiring these up. The flanges on the handles are a nice extra to make the handle easier to pick up if you have gloves on and keep your hands from sliding down onto the wire when closing a tight gate.

Product Reviewed: 5 Pack Electric Fence Insulated Plastic gate Handle with Internal Spring and Double Ring end, Blue – for $15 minus 10% coupon.TL;DR; Inexpensive knock off of high end spring handle; Cheaper feeling plastic but overall good construction; Plastic durability TBDWe have a homestead scale farm operation and use electric fence extensively. These are a knockoff of the high end black gate handles. The plastic is a bit cheap, however, I tested the strength of the spring and hook with a bit of force and it seems strong. Good magnetics on both the hook and spring. I like how big the hook is, it will work with all types of gate hardware (onetime the flat Steele type like the ones I have will not fit).My only reservation would be whether the plastic holds up in the sun - but maybe that doesn’t matter - mine break before that happens anyway. They are 9.5” long and the hook looks to be 3/16” thick. An economical choice and good to very good value. 5 Stars. How I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

I got these to use on an electric fence around a suburban garden. The fence posts are lightly built plastic and flexible metal. These handles are sturdy and well made, but the springs are so stiff that stretching one would pull down my whole installation. These would be great for a fence made with heavy wooden posts and wire, but I made need to look into something less heavy duty.

Very nice, heavy duty spring, hefty handles, held up to my bull and draft horse. This is my second order of this product and will buy more when I run additional livestock fencing. The first order has aged very well and I expect it to last a very long time

Easy to install, worked great all summer. Able to string wiring through it for an electric fence.

These are beefy! I'd have no fear of shocking through the plastic no inadvertent contact with the live wires. I do see a way to make these work for me, but, the depictions cannot be how they meant for these to be installed.1st - although there is a spring internal to the handle its extremely strong and will not stretch easily more than 1/4 inch.2nd- I don't see how you could maintain fence wire tension through the elasticity of this spring, it's essentially a fixed element.3rd- From the product use depiction I don't see how you could detach the handle from whatever the hook end is attached to because the internal spring is overly strong. Finally - The product depiction shows the hook end attached to a long spring (presumably the spring spans gate opening?) while the "butt" end (the end with the hefty non-elastic internal "spring") is firmly attached to a fence wire connector. To open the fence you would need to pull the gate spring towards the handle to detach it from the handle hook. Which, of course would be a nasty shock! However, use depictions aside, the product is nice and big, well made and sturdy.I suspect reversing the installation so the "Butt" end of the handle is attached to the (not included) big spring and the hook end is slipped in and out of the fixed post wire connecter would work great.Thats how i intend to install it. Now I just have to source the Gate spring.so, 5 stars on the product but include the spring with the handle!
