I purchased a Hemnes bookcase from ikea Jan 2025. I think the metal used on the hardware was inferior. Every time I had to turn the bookcase to complete another step one of the connectors broke and popped out of place. I managed to complete the bookcase minus the connectors used on the middle shelf. This left slightly more space on the end and the length of the shelf pins provided we’re not nearly long enough. These 5mm pins are nice and long and worked perfectly

If you purchase the ikea hemnes bookshelves, I would say these are a necessary add on. Longer than the ikea pins these will guarantee your shelves do not fall. Highly recommended.

I used these as cabinet shelf holders. The reason I needed that was because regular supports were too short due to poor installation of the cabinets. High quality, did the job, and I didn't need to reinstall the cabinetsS.

I ordered these because I had made some adjustable shelves and for some reason one set had a little too much play. These are longer. Work great and look awesome

These are a great fit and they are long enough where if you have a shelf that's slightly short you will still have your shelf supported. I replaced my cheap plastic supports with these. You won't have to worry about them bending or breaking.
